ആ മനുഷ്യൻ ഏലിയോടു: ഞാൻ പോർക്കളത്തിൽനിന്നു വന്നവൻ ആകുന്നു; ഇന്നു തന്നേ ഞാൻ പോർക്കളത്തിൽനിന്നു ഓടിപ്പോന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. വർത്തമാനം എന്താകുന്നു, മകനേ, എന്നു അവൻ ചോദിച്ചു.
Aa manushyan eliyotu: nyaan porkkalattilninnu vannavan aakunnu; innu tanne nyaan porkkalattilninnu otipponnu ennu paranynyu. Varttamaanam entaakunnu, makane, ennu avan chodichchu.

- 15ഏലിയോ തൊണ്ണൂറ്റെട്ടു വയസ്സുള്ളവനും കാണ്മാൻ വഹിയാതവണ്ണം കണ്ണു മങ്ങിയവനും ആയിരുന്നു.

- 17അതിന്നു ആ ദൂതൻ: യിസ്രായേൽ ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ തോറ്റോടി; ജനത്തിൽ ഒരു മഹാസംഹാരം ഉണ്ടായി; നിന്റെ രണ്ടു പുത്രന്മാരായ ഹൊഫ്നിയും ഫീനെഹാസും പട്ടുപോയി; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകവും പിടിപെട്ടുപോയി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
