ഏലി നിലവിളികേട്ടപ്പോൾ ഈ ആരവം എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. ആ മനുഷ്യൻ ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു വന്നു ഏലിയോടും അറിയിച്ചു.

- 15ഏലിയോ തൊണ്ണൂറ്റെട്ടു വയസ്സുള്ളവനും കാണ്മാൻ വഹിയാതവണ്ണം കണ്ണു മങ്ങിയവനും ആയിരുന്നു.
- 16ആ മനുഷ്യൻ ഏലിയോടു: ഞാൻ പോർക്കളത്തിൽനിന്നു വന്നവൻ ആകുന്നു; ഇന്നു തന്നേ ഞാൻ പോർക്കളത്തിൽനിന്നു ഓടിപ്പോന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. വർത്തമാനം എന്താകുന്നു, മകനേ, എന്നു അവൻ ചോദിച്ചു.
