19കാലക്രമേണ രണ്ടു സംവത്സരം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ദീനത്താൽ അവന്റെ കുടൽ പുറത്തുചാടി അവൻ കഠിനവ്യാധിയാൽ മരിച്ചു; അവന്റെ ജനം അവന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കു കഴിച്ച ദഹനംപോലെ അവന്നു വേണ്ടി ദഹനം കഴിച്ചില്ല.
20അവൻ വാഴ്ചതുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവന്നു മുപ്പത്തിരണ്ടു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവൻ എട്ടു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമിൽ വാണു ആർക്കും ഇഷ്ടനാകാതെ കഴിഞ്ഞുപോയി; അവനെ ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ അടക്കംചെയ്തു, രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ കല്ലറകളിൽ അല്ലതാനും.
