അനന്തരം അശ്ശൂർരാജാവായ സൻഹേരീബ് -അവനും അവനോടുകൂടെയുള്ള സൈന്യമൊക്കെയും ലാഖീശിന്നരികെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു -തന്റെ ദാസന്മാരെ യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹിസ്കീയാവിന്റെയും യെരൂശലേമിലെ സകലയെഹൂദ്യരുടെയും അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചുപറയിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:
Anantaram ashshoottaajaavaaya sanhereeb -avanum avanotukooteyulla sainyamokkeyum laakheeshinnarike untaayirunnu -tante daasanmaare yerooshalemilekku yehoodaaraajaavaaya yehiskeeyaavinteyum yerooshalemile sakalayehoodyaruteyum atukkal ayachchuparayichchatu entennaal:

- 11നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നമ്മെ അശ്ശൂർരാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വിടുവിക്കും എന്നു യെഹിസ്കീയാവു പറഞ്ഞു വിശപ്പും ദാഹവുംകൊണ്ടു ചാകേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളെ വശീകരിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?
