4. 23പിന്നെ അവൻ അവിടെനിന്നു ബേഥേലിലേക്കു പോയി; അവൻ വഴിയിൽ നടക്കുമ്പോൾ ബാലന്മാർ പട്ടണത്തിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടുവന്നു അവനെ പരിഹസിച്ചു അവനോടു: മൊട്ടത്തലയാ, കയറി വാ; മൊട്ടത്തലയാ, കയറി വാ; എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
5. 24അവൻ പിന്നോക്കം തിരിഞ്ഞു അവനെ നോക്കി യഹോവനാമത്തിൽ അവരെ ശപിച്ചു; അപ്പോൾ കാട്ടിൽനിന്നു രണ്ടു പെൺകരടി ഇറങ്ങിവന്നു അവരിൽ നാല്പത്തിരണ്ടു ബാലന്മാരെ കീറിക്കളഞ്ഞു.
