എന്നാൽ ഈ രാജാക്കന്മാർ തങ്ങളോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്‌വാൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടുവന്നു എന്നു മോവാബ്യരൊക്കെയും കേട്ടപ്പോൾ അവർ ആയുധം ധരിപ്പാൻ തക്ക പ്രായത്തിലും മേലോട്ടുമുള്ളവരെ വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടി അതിരിങ്കൽ ചെന്നുനിന്നു.

- 23അതു രക്തമാകുന്നു; ആ രാജാക്കന്മാർ തമ്മിൽ പൊരുതു അന്യോന്യം സംഹരിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; ആകയാൽ മോവാബ്യരേ, കൊള്ളെക്കു വരുവിൻ എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.
