2. 10നാം ചുവരോടുകൂടിയ ചെറിയോരു മാളികമുറി പണിതുണ്ടാക്കുക; അതിൽ അവന്നു ഒരു കട്ടിലും ഒരു മേശയും ഒരു നാല്ക്കാലിയും ഒരു നിലവിളക്കും വെക്കുക; അവൻ നമ്മുടെ അടുക്കൽ വരുമ്പോൾ അവന്നു അവിടെ കയറി പാർക്കാമല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
3. 11പിന്നെ ഒരു ദിവസം അവൻ അവിടെ വരുവാൻ ഇടയായി; അവൻ ആ മാളികമുറിയിൽ കയറി അവിടെ കിടന്നുറങ്ങി.
4. 12അവൻ തന്റെ ബാല്യക്കാരനായ ഗേഹസിയോടു: ശൂനേംകാരത്തിയെ വിളിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ അവളെ വിളിച്ചു. അവൾ അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വന്നുനിന്നു.
5. 13അവൻ അവനോടു: നീ ഇത്ര താല്പര്യത്തോടെയൊക്കെയും ഞങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടി കരുതിയല്ലോ? നിനക്കു വേണ്ടി എന്തു ചെയ്യേണം? രാജാവിനോടോ സേനാധിപതിയോടോ നിനക്കു വേണ്ടി വല്ലതും പറയേണ്ടതുണ്ടോ എന്നു നീ അവളോടു ചോദിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അതിന്നു അവൾ: ഞാൻ സ്വജനത്തിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേ വസിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
