അങ്ങനെ അവൾ കഴുതപ്പുറത്തു കോപ്പിട്ടു കയറി ബാല്യക്കാരനോടു: നല്ലവണ്ണം തെളിച്ചുവിടുക; ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞല്ലാതെ വഴിയിൽ എവിടെയും നിർത്തരുതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

- 25അവൾ ചെന്നു കർമ്മേൽപർവ്വതത്തിൽ ദൈവപുരുഷന്റെ അടുക്കൽ എത്തി; ദൈവപുരുഷൻ അവളെ ദൂരത്തു കണ്ടപ്പോൾ തന്റെ ബാല്യക്കാരനായ ഗേഹസിയോടു: അതാ, ശൂനേംകാരത്തി വരുന്നു; നീ ഓടിച്ചെന്നു അവളെ എതിരേറ്റു:
- 26സുഖം തന്നേയോ? ഭർത്താവു സുഖമായിരിക്കുന്നുവോ? ബാലന്നു സുഖമുണ്ടോ എന്നു അവളോടു ചോദിക്കേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. സുഖം തന്നേ എന്നു അവൾ പറഞ്ഞു.
