അവൾ അവനെ വിട്ടു ചെന്നു തന്റെ മക്കളോടുകൂടെ അകത്തു കടന്നു വാതിൽ അടെച്ചു; അവർ അവളുടെ അടുക്കൽ പാത്രങ്ങളെ വെച്ചുകൊടുക്കയും അവൾ പകരുകയും ചെയ്തു.

- 6പാത്രങ്ങൾ നിറഞ്ഞശേഷം അവൾ തന്റെ മകനോടു: ഇനിയും പാത്രം കൊണ്ടുവരിക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ അവളോടു: പാത്രം ഒന്നും ഇല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ എണ്ണ നിന്നുപോയി.
- 7അവൾ ചെന്നു ദൈവപുരുഷനോടു വസ്തുത അറിയിച്ചു. നീ പോയി എണ്ണ വിറ്റു കടം വീട്ടി ശേഷിപ്പുകൊണ്ടു നീയും മക്കളും ഉപജീവനും കഴിച്ചുകൊൾക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
