അവൻ യെഹൂദാമക്കളെ ഈ ധനുർഗ്ഗീതം അഭ്യസിപ്പിപ്പാൻ കല്പിച്ചു; അതു ശൂരന്മാരുടെ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ:-

- 19യിസ്രായേലേ, നിന്റെ പ്രതാപമായവർ നിന്റെ ഗിരികളിൽ നിഹതന്മാരായി; വീരന്മാർ പട്ടുപോയതു എങ്ങനെ!
- 20ഗത്തിൽ അതു പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കരുതേ; അസ്കലോൻ വീഥികളിൽ ഘോഷിക്കരുതേ; ഫെലിസ്ത്യപുത്രിമാർ സന്തോഷിക്കരുതേ; അഗ്രചർമ്മികളുടെ കന്യകമാർ ഉല്ലസിക്കരുതേ.
