3. 3ദാവീദ് ആളയച്ചു ആ സ്ത്രീയെപ്പറ്റി അന്വേഷിപ്പിച്ചു. അവൾ എലീയാമിന്റെ മകളും ഹിത്യനായ ഊരിയാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയുമായ ബത്ത്-ശേബ എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞു.
4. 4ദാവീദ് ദൂതന്മാരെ അയച്ചു അവളെ വരുത്തി; അവൾ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു; അവൾക്കു ഋതുശുദ്ധി വന്നിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ അവളോടുകൂടെ ശയിച്ചു; അവൾ തന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.
