ഉരുളിയോടെ എടുത്തു അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വിളമ്പി; എന്നാൽ ഭക്ഷിപ്പാൻ അവന്നു ഇഷ്ടമായില്ല. എല്ലാവരെയും എന്റെ അടുക്കൽനിന്നു പുറത്താക്കുവിൻ എന്നു അമ്നോൻ പറഞ്ഞു. എല്ലാവരും അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽനിന്നു പുറത്തുപോയി.
Uruliyote etuttu avante mumpil vilampi; ennaal bhakshippaan avannu ishtamaayilla. Ellaavareyum ente atukkalninnu purattaakkuvin ennu amnon paranynyu. Ellaavarum avante atukkalninnu purattupoyi.

- 10അപ്പോൾ അമ്നോൻ താമാരിനോടു: ഞാൻ നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വാങ്ങി ഭക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഭക്ഷണം ഉൾമുറിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുവരിക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. താമാർ താൻ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ വടകളെ എടുത്തു ഉൾമുറിയിൽ സഹോദരനായ അമ്നോന്റെ അടുക്കൽകൊണ്ടുചെന്നു.
- 11അവൻ ഭക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൾ അവയെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നപ്പോൾ അവൻ അവളെ പിടിച്ചു അവളോടു: സഹോദരീ, വന്നു എന്നോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
