- 28അഹീമാസ് രാജാവിനോടു ശുഭം, ശുഭം എന്നു വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു രാജാവിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണു നമസ്കരിച്ചു: യജമാനനായ രാജാവിന്റെ നേരെ കൈ ഓങ്ങിയവരെ ഏല്പിച്ചുതന്ന നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ സ്തുതിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
- 29അപ്പോൾ രാജാവു അബ്ശാലോംകുമാരൻ സുഖമായിരിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന്നു അഹീമാസ്: യോവാബ് രാജാവിന്റെ ഭൃത്യനെയും അടിയനെയും അയക്കുമ്പോൾ വലിയോരു കലഹം കണ്ടു; എന്നാൽ അതു എന്തെന്നു ഞാൻ അറിഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

- 31ഉടനെ കൂശ്യൻ വന്നു: യജമാനനായ രാജാവിന്നു ഇതാ നല്ല വർത്തമാനം; നിന്നോടു എതിർത്ത എല്ലാവരോടും യഹോവ ഇന്നു നിനക്കുവേണ്ടി പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു കൂശ്യൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
- 32അപ്പോൾ രാജാവു കൂശ്യനോടു: അബ്ശാലോംകുമാരൻ സുഖമായിരിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന്നു കൂശ്യൻ യജമാനനായ രാജാവിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളും നിന്നോടു ദോഷം ചെയ്‌വാൻ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരും ആ കുമാരനെപ്പോലെ ആകട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
