യഹോവ ഉസ്സയെ ഛേദിച്ച ഛേദംനിമിത്തം ദാവീദിന്നു വ്യസനമായി അവൻ ആ സ്ഥലത്തിന്നു പേരെസ്-ഉസ്സാ എന്നു പേർവിളിച്ചു. അതു ഇന്നുവരെയും പറഞ്ഞുവരുന്നു.

- 9അന്നു ദാവീദ് യഹോവയെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടുപോയി. യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ എങ്ങനെ കൊണ്ടുവരേണ്ടു എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
- 10ഇങ്ങനെ യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ തന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുത്തുവാൻ മനസ്സില്ലാതെ ദാവീദ് അതിനെ ഗിത്യനായ ഓബേദ്-എദോമിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോയി വെച്ചു.
