ഞങ്ങൾക്കു മുമ്പായി നടപ്പാൻ ദൈവങ്ങളെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിത്തരിക; ഞങ്ങളെ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു നടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്ന ആ മോശെക്കു എന്തു സംഭവിച്ചു എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നില്ലല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

- 41അന്നേരം അവർ ഒരു കാളക്കുട്ടിയെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി, ആ ബിംബത്തിന്നു ബലി കഴിച്ചു തങ്ങളുടെ കൈപ്പണിയിൽ ഉല്ലസിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
- 42ദൈവവും പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞു. ആകാശത്തിലെ സൈന്യത്തെ ആരാധിപ്പാൻ അവരെ കൈവിട്ടു. “യിസ്രായേൽ ഗൃഹമേ, നിങ്ങൾ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ എനിക്കു നാല്പതു സംവത്സരം ഹനനയാഗങ്ങളും ഭോജനയാഗങ്ങളും അർപ്പിച്ചുവോ?
