King James Version (KJV): And [if] the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and giveth [it] in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her [to be] his wife;

2അവന്റെ വീട്ടിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടശേഷം അവൾ പോയി മറ്റൊരു പുരുഷന്നു ഭാര്യയായി ഇരിക്കാം.
3എന്നാൽ രണ്ടാമത്തെ ഭർത്താവു അവളെ വെറുത്തു ഒരു ഉപേക്ഷണപത്രം എഴുതി കയ്യിൽ കൊടുത്തു അവളെ വീട്ടിൽനിന്നു അയക്കയോ അവളെ ഭാര്യയായിട്ടു എടുത്ത രണ്ടാമത്തെ ഭർത്താവു മരിച്ചുപോകയോ ചെയ്താൽ
4അവളെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച മുമ്പിലത്തെ ഭർത്താവിന്നു അവൾ അശുദ്ധയായശേഷം അവളെ പിന്നെയും ഭാര്യയായി പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൂടാ; അതു യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ അറെപ്പാകുന്നു; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി തരുന്ന ദേശം നീ പാപംകൊണ്ടു മലിനമാക്കരുതു.
5ഒരു പുരുഷൻ പുതുതായി ഒരു സ്ത്രീയെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൻ യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു പോകരുതു; അവന്റെമേൽ യാതൊരു ഭാരവും വെക്കരുതു; അവൻ ഒരു സംവത്സരത്തേക്കു വീട്ടിൽ സ്വതന്ത്രനായിരുന്നു താൻ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ച ഭാര്യയെ സന്തോഷിപ്പിക്കേണം.
