അവളെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച മുമ്പിലത്തെ ഭർത്താവിന്നു അവൾ അശുദ്ധയായശേഷം അവളെ പിന്നെയും ഭാര്യയായി പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൂടാ; അതു യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ അറെപ്പാകുന്നു; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി തരുന്ന ദേശം നീ പാപംകൊണ്ടു മലിനമാക്കരുതു.

King James Version (KJV): Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that [is] abomination before the LORD: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the LORD thy God giveth thee [for] an inheritance.

6തിരികല്ലാകട്ടെ അതിന്റെ മേല്ക്കല്ലാകട്ടെ ആരും പണയം വാങ്ങരുതു; അതു ജീവനെ പണയം വാങ്ങുകയല്ലോ.
