ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള യാതൊരു ഇഴജാതിയുടെയും സാദൃശ്യമോ, ഭൂമിക്കു കീഴെ വെള്ളത്തിലുള്ള യാതൊരു മത്സ്യത്തിന്റെയും സാദൃശ്യമോ, ഇങ്ങനെ യാതൊന്നിന്റെയും പ്രതിമയായ വിഗ്രഹം ഉണ്ടാക്കി വഷളത്വം പ്രവർത്തിക്കരുതു.
Bhoomiyilulla yaatoru izhajaatiyuteyum saadrushyamo, bhoomikku keezhe vellattilulla yaatoru matsyattinteyum saadrushyamo, ingngane yaatonninteyum pratimayaaya vigraham untaakki vashalatvam pravarttikkarutu.

- 19നീ ആകാശസൈന്യമായ സൂര്യനെയും ചന്ദ്രനെയും നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളെയും നോക്കിക്കാണുമ്പോൾ അവയെ നമസ്കരിപ്പാനും സേവിപ്പാനും വശീകരിക്കപ്പെടരുതു; അവയെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകാശത്തിൻകീഴെങ്ങുമുള്ള സർവ്വജാതികൾക്കും പങ്കിട്ടു കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
- 20നിങ്ങളെയോ ഇന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ തനിക്കു അവകാശജനമായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യഹോവ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു നിങ്ങളെ മിസ്രയീം എന്ന ഇരിമ്പുലയിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
