അവൻ ഉടമ്പടി ലംഘിച്ചു സത്യം ധിക്കരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ കയ്യടിച്ചിട്ടും ഇതൊക്കെയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ആകയാൽ അവൻ ഒഴിഞ്ഞു പോകയില്ല.

- 19അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: എന്നാണ, അവൻ ധിക്കരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ സത്യവും ലംഘിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ ഉടമ്പടിയും ഞാൻ അവന്റെ തലമേൽ വരുത്തും.
- 20ഞാൻ എന്റെ വല അവന്റെമേൽ വീശും; അവൻ എന്റെ കണിയിൽ അകപ്പെടും; ഞാൻ അവനെ ബാബേലിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു, അവൻ എന്നോടു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന ദ്രോഹത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു അവിടെവെച്ചു അവനോടു വ്യവഹരിക്കും.
