2. 3ആ പുരുഷൻ കയ്യിൽ ചരടുമായി കിഴക്കോട്ടു നടന്നു, ആയിരം മുഴം അളന്നു, എന്നെ വെള്ളത്തിൽ കൂടി കടക്കുമാറാക്കി; വെള്ളം നരിയാണിയോളം ആയി.
3. 4അവൻ പിന്നെയും ആയിരം മുഴം അളന്നു, എന്നെ വെള്ളത്തിൽകൂടി കടക്കുമാറാക്കി; വെള്ളം മുട്ടോളം ആയി; അവൻ പിന്നെയും ആയിരം മുഴം അളന്നു, എന്നെ കടക്കുമാറാക്കി; വെള്ളം അരയോളം ആയി.
4. 5അവൻ പിന്നെയും ആയിരം മുഴം അളന്നു; അതു എനിക്കു കടപ്പാൻ വഹിയാത്ത ഒരു നദിയായി; വെള്ളം പൊങ്ങി, നീന്തീട്ടല്ലാതെ കടപ്പാൻ വഹിയാത്ത ഒരു നദിയായിത്തീർന്നു.
5. 6അവൻ എന്നോടു: മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, കണ്ടുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു; പിന്നെ അവൻ എന്നെ നദീതീരത്തു മടങ്ങിച്ചെല്ലുമാറാക്കി.
