- 8പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെയും മൂപ്പന്മാരുടെയും നിർണ്ണയപ്രകാരം മൂന്നു ദിവസത്തിന്നകം ആരെങ്കിലും വരാതെയിരുന്നാൽ അവന്റെ വസ്തുവക ഒക്കെയും കണ്ടുകെട്ടിയെടുക്കയും അവനെ പ്രവാസികളുടെ സഭയിൽനിന്നു പുറത്താക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുമെന്നും യെഹൂദയിലും യെരൂശലേമിലും പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കി.
- 9അങ്ങനെ യെഹൂദയുടെയും ബെന്യാമീന്റെയും സകലപുരുഷന്മാരും മൂന്നാം ദിവസത്തിന്നകം യെരൂശലേമിൽ വന്നുകൂടി; അതു ഒമ്പതാം മാസം ഇരുപതാം തിയ്യതി ആയിരുന്നു; സകലജനവും ആ കാര്യം ഹേതുവായിട്ടും വന്മഴനിമിത്തവും വിറെച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു ദൈവാലയത്തിന്റെ മുറ്റത്തു ഇരുന്നു.
