3. 9അങ്ങനെ യെഹൂദയുടെയും ബെന്യാമീന്റെയും സകലപുരുഷന്മാരും മൂന്നാം ദിവസത്തിന്നകം യെരൂശലേമിൽ വന്നുകൂടി; അതു ഒമ്പതാം മാസം ഇരുപതാം തിയ്യതി ആയിരുന്നു; സകലജനവും ആ കാര്യം ഹേതുവായിട്ടും വന്മഴനിമിത്തവും വിറെച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു ദൈവാലയത്തിന്റെ മുറ്റത്തു ഇരുന്നു.
4. 10അപ്പോൾ എസ്രാപുരോഹിതൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ദ്രോഹംചെയ്തു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ കുറ്റത്തെ വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അന്യജാതിക്കാരത്തികളെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
5. 11ആകയാൽ ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയോടു പാപം ഏറ്റുപറകയും അവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം അനുസരിച്ചു ദേശനിവാസികളോടും അന്യജാതിക്കാരത്തികളോടും വേർപെടുകയും ചെയ്‌വിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
