അവർ ഒന്നിച്ചുപാർപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ദേശത്തിന്നു അവരെ വഹിച്ചു കൂടാഞ്ഞു; സമ്പത്തു വളരെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവർക്കു ഒന്നിച്ചുപാർപ്പാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

- 8അതു കൊണ്ടു അബ്രാം ലോത്തിനോടു: എനിക്കും നിനക്കും എന്റെ ഇടയന്മാർക്കും നിന്റെ ഇടയന്മാർക്കും തമ്മിൽ പിണക്കം ഉണ്ടാകരുതേ; നാം സഹോദരന്മാരല്ലോ.
