ദൈവം പിന്നെയും അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു: നിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ സാറായിയെ സാറായി എന്നല്ല വിളിക്കേണ്ടതു; അവളുടെ പേർ സാറാ എന്നു ഇരിക്കേണം.
Daivam pinneyum abraahaaminotu: ninte bhaaryayaaya saaraayiye saaraayi ennalla vilikkentatu; avalute per saaraa ennu irikkenam.

- 16ഞാൻ അവളെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവളിൽനിന്നു നിനക്കു ഒരു മകനെ തരും; ഞാൻ അവളെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കയും അവൾ ജാതികൾക്കു മാതാവായി തീരുകയും ജാതികളുടെ രാജാക്കന്മാർ അവളിൽനിന്നു ഉത്ഭവിക്കയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
- 17അപ്പോൾ അബ്രാഹാം കവിണ്ണുവീണു ചിരിച്ചു: നൂറു വയസ്സുള്ളവന്നു മകൻ ജനിക്കുമോ? തൊണ്ണൂറു വയസ്സുള്ള സാറാ പ്രസവിക്കുമോ എന്നു തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.
