1അനന്തരം യഹോവ അവന്നു മമ്രേയുടെ തോപ്പിൽവെച്ചു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി; വെയിലുറെച്ചപ്പോൾ അവൻ കൂടാരവാതിൽക്കൽ ഇരിക്കയായിരുന്നു.
2അവൻ തലപൊക്കി നോക്കിയപ്പോൾ മൂന്നു പുരുഷന്മാർ തന്റെ നേരെ നില്ക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു; അവരെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ അവൻ കൂടാരവാതിൽക്കൽ നിന്നു അവരെ എതിരേല്പാൻ ഓടിച്ചെന്നു നിലംവരെ കുനിഞ്ഞു:
3യജമാനനേ, എന്നോടു കൃപയുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അടിയനെ കടന്നുപോകരുതേ.
4അസാരം വെള്ളം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ കാലുകളെ കഴുകട്ടെ; വൃക്ഷത്തിൻ കീഴിൽ ഇരിപ്പിൻ.
5ഞാൻ ഒരു മുറി അപ്പം കൊണ്ടുവരാം; വിശപ്പു അടക്കീട്ടു നിങ്ങൾക്കു പോകാം; ഇതിന്നായിട്ടല്ലോ നിങ്ങൾ അടിയന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കയറിവന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
