2. 41ബലമുള്ള ആടുകൾ ചനയേല്ക്കുമ്പോഴൊക്കെയും കൊമ്പുകളെ കണ്ടുകൊണ്ടു ചനയേൽക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യാക്കോബ് ആ കൊമ്പുകളെ പാത്തികളിൽ ആടുകളുടെ കണ്ണിന്നു മുമ്പിൽ വെച്ചു.
3. 42ബലമില്ലാത്ത ആടുകൾ ചനയേല്ക്കുമ്പോൾ അവയെ വെച്ചില്ല; അങ്ങനെ ബലമില്ലാത്തവ ലാബാന്നും ബലമുള്ളവ യാക്കോബിന്നും ആയിത്തീർന്നു.
4. 43അവൻ മഹാസമ്പന്നനായി അവന്നു വളരെ ആടുകളും ദാസീദാസന്മാരും ഒട്ടകങ്ങളും കഴുതകളും ഉണ്ടാകയും ചെയ്തു.
