അനന്തരം ദേശത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാരിൽ ചിലർ എഴുന്നേറ്റു ജനത്തിന്റെ സർവ്വസംഘത്തോടും പറഞ്ഞതു:

- 15എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞാൽ, നിങ്ങൾ കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത രക്തം നിങ്ങളുടെ മേലും ഈ നഗരത്തിന്മേലും അതിലെ നിവാസികളുടെ മേലും വരുത്തും എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞുകൊൾവിൻ; നിങ്ങൾ കേൾക്കേ ഈ വാക്കുകളൊക്കെയും പ്രസ്താവിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യഹോവ എന്നെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു സത്യം.
- 16അപ്പോൾ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും സകലജനവും പുരോഹിതന്മാരോടും പ്രവാചകന്മാരോടും: ഈ മനുഷ്യൻ മരണയോഗ്യനല്ല; അവൻ നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ അല്ലോ നമ്മോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

- 18യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ ഹിസ്കീയാവിന്റെ കാലത്തു മോരഷ്ട്യനായ മീഖായാവു സകലയെഹൂദാജനത്തോടും പ്രവചിച്ചു: സീയോനേ വയൽ പോലെ ഉഴുതുകളയും; യെരൂശലേം കല്ക്കുന്നായും ഈ ആലയമുള്ള പർവ്വതം വനാന്തരഗിരികളായും തീരും എന്നിങ്ങനെ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
- 19യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ ഹിസ്കീയാവും സർവ്വയെഹൂദയും അവനെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞുവോ? അവൻ യഹോവയെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു, യഹോവയോടു ക്ഷമ യാചിക്കയും താൻ അവർക്കു വരുത്തുമെന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്ന അനർത്ഥത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു യഹോവ അനുതപിക്കയും ചെയ്തില്ലയോ? നാമോ നമ്മുടെ പ്രാണന്നു വലിയോരു അനർത്ഥം വരുത്തുവാൻ പോകുന്നു.
