8ശേഷം ശിഷ്യന്മാർ കരയിൽ നിന്നു ഏകദേശം ഇരുനൂറു മുഴത്തിൽ അധികം ദൂരത്തല്ലായ്കയാൽ മീൻ നിറഞ്ഞ വല ഇഴെച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു ചെറിയ പടകിൽ വന്നു.
9കരെക്കു ഇറെങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവർ തീക്കനലും അതിന്മേൽ മീൻ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതും അപ്പവും കണ്ടു.

11ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസ് കയറി നൂറ്റമ്പത്തുമൂന്നു വലിയ മീൻ നിറഞ്ഞ വല കരെക്കു വലിച്ചു കയറ്റി; അത്ര വളരെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നിട്ടും വല കീറിയില്ല.
12യേശു അവരോടു: വന്നു പ്രാതൽ കഴിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; കർത്താവാകുന്നു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ശിഷ്യന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തനും: നീ ആർ എന്നു അവനോടു ചോദിപ്പാൻ തുനിഞ്ഞില്ല.
