അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനോടു: റബ്ബീ, ഇവൻ കുരുടനായി പിറക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം ആർ പാപം ചെയ്തു? ഇവനോ ഇവന്റെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

Avante shishyanmaar avanotu: rabbee, ivan kurutanaayi pirakkattakkavannam aar paapam cheytu? Ivano ivante ammayappanmaaro ennu chodichchu.

1അവൻ കടന്നുപോകുമ്പോൾ പിറവിയിലേ കുരുടനായോരു മനുഷ്യനെ കണ്ടു.
2അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനോടു: റബ്ബീ, ഇവൻ കുരുടനായി പിറക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം ആർ പാപം ചെയ്തു? ഇവനോ ഇവന്റെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
3അതിന്നു യേശു: അവൻ എങ്കിലും അവന്റെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരെങ്കിലും പാപം ചെയ്തിട്ടല്ല, ദൈവപ്രവൃത്തി അവങ്കൽ വെളിവാകേണ്ടതിന്നത്രേ.
4എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി പകൽ ഉള്ളേടത്തോളം നാം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതാകുന്നു; ആർക്കും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചുകൂടാത്ത രാത്രി വരുന്നു.
