1. 1യോസേഫിന്റെ ആദ്യജാതനായ മനശ്ശെയുടെ ഗോത്രത്തിന്നും ഓഹരി കിട്ടി; മനശ്ശെയുടെ ആദ്യജാതനും ഗിലെയാദിന്റെ അപ്പനും ആയ മാഖീർ യുദ്ധവീരനായിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവന്നു ഗിലെയാദും ബാശാനും ലഭിച്ചു.
2. 2മനശ്ശെയുടെ ശേഷം പുത്രന്മാരായ അബീയേസെരിന്റെ മക്കൾ, ഹേലെക്കിന്റെ മക്കൾ, അസ്രീയേലിന്റെ മക്കൾ, ശേഖെമിന്റെ മക്കൾ, ഹേഫെരിന്റെ മക്കൾ, ശെമീദാവിന്റെ മക്കൾ എന്നിവർക്കും കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി ഓഹരി കിട്ടി; ഇവർ കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി യോസേഫിന്റെ മകനായ മനശ്ശെയുടെ മക്കൾ ആയിരുന്നു.
3. 3എന്നാൽ മനശ്ശെയുടെ മകനായ മാഖീരിന്റെ മകനായ ഗിലെയാദിന്റെ മകനായ ഹേഫെരിന്റെ മകൻ ശെലോഫഹാദിന്നു പുത്രിമാരല്ലാതെ പുത്രന്മാർ ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു; അവന്റെ പുത്രിമാർക്കും: മഹ്ല, നോവ, ഹൊഗ്ല, മിൽക്ക, തിർസ എന്നു പേരായിരുന്നു.
4. 4അവർ പുരോഹിതനായ എലെയാസരിന്റെയും നൂന്റെ മകനായ യോശുവയുടെയും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെയും മുമ്പിൽ അടുത്തുചെന്നു: ഞങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ഒരു അവകാശം ഞങ്ങൾക്കു തരുവാൻ യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനപ്രകാരം അവരുടെ അപ്പന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ അവർക്കു ഒരു അവകാശം കൊടുത്തു.
