2. 7ആ ആളുകൾ യോർദ്ദാനിലേക്കുള്ള വഴിയായി കടവുകൾ വരെ അവരെ തിരഞ്ഞുചെന്നു; തിരഞ്ഞുചെന്നവർ പുറപ്പെട്ട ഉടനെ പട്ടണവാതിൽ അടെച്ചു.
3. 8എന്നാൽ അവർ കിടപ്പാൻ പോകുംമുമ്പെ അവൾ മുകളിൽ അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു:
4. 9യഹോവ ഈ ദേശം നിങ്ങൾക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളെയുള്ള ഭീതി ഞങ്ങളുടെമേൽ വീണിരിക്കുന്നു; ഈ ദേശത്തിലെ നിവാസികൾ എല്ലാവരും നിങ്ങളുടെ നിമിത്തം ഉരുകിപ്പോകുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു.
5. 10നിങ്ങൾ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടുവരുമ്പോൾ യഹോവ നിങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടി ചെങ്കടലിലെ വെള്ളം വറ്റിച്ചതും യോർദ്ദാന്നക്കരെവെച്ചു നിങ്ങൾ നിർമ്മൂലമാക്കിയ സീഹോൻ, ഓഗ് എന്ന രണ്ടു അമോര്യരാജാക്കന്മാരോടു ചെയ്തതും ഞങ്ങൾ കേട്ടു.
