അവൻ ഹിത്യരുടെ ദേശത്തു ചെന്നു ഒരു പട്ടണം പണിതു അതിന്നു ലൂസ് എന്നു പേരിട്ടു; അതിന്നു ഇന്നുവരെ അതു തന്നേ പേർ.

- 27മനശ്ശെ ബേത്ത്‒ശെയാനിലും അതിന്റെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിലും താനാക്കിലും അതിന്റെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിലും ദോരിലും അതിന്റെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിലും യിബ്ളെയാമിലും അതിന്റെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിലും മെഗിദ്ദോവിലും അതിന്റെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിലും പാർത്തിരുന്നവരെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞില്ല. കനാന്യർക്കു ആ ദേശത്തു തന്നേ പാർപ്പാനുള്ള താല്പര്യം സാധിച്ചു.
- 28എന്നാൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു ബലം കൂടിയപ്പോൾ അവർ കന്യാന്യരെ മുഴുവനും നീക്കിക്കളയാതെ അവരെക്കൊണ്ടു ഊഴിയവേല ചെയ്യിച്ചു.
