അവർ മീഖാവിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽനിന്നു കുറെ ദൂരത്തായപ്പേൾ മീഖാവിന്റെ വീട്ടിനോടു ചേർന്ന വീടുകളിലുള്ളവർ ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂടി ദാന്യരെ പിന്തുടർന്നു.

- 23അവർ ദാന്യരെ കൂകിവിളിച്ചപ്പോൾ അവർ തിരിഞ്ഞുനോക്കി മീഖാവിനോടു: നീ ഇങ്ങനെ ആൾക്കൂട്ടത്തോടുകൂടെ വരുവാൻ എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
- 24ഞാൻ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ എന്റെ ദേവന്മാരെയും എന്റെ പുരോഹിതനെയും നിങ്ങൾ അപഹരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നു; ഇനി എനിക്കു എന്തുള്ളു? നിനക്കു എന്തു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ എന്നോടു ചോദിക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
