ദാന്യർ അവനോടു: നിന്റെ ഒച്ച ഇവിടെ കേൾക്കരുതു: അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ദ്വേഷ്യക്കാർ നിങ്ങളോടു കയർത്തിട്ടു നിന്റെ ജീവനും നിന്റെ വീട്ടുകാരുടെ ജീവനും നഷ്ടമാകുവാൻ നീ സംഗതിവരുത്തും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

- 27മീഖാവു തീർപ്പിച്ചവയെയും അവന്നു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന പുരോഹിതനെയും അവർ കൊണ്ടുപോയി, ലയീശിൽ സ്വൈരവും നിർഭയവുമായിരുന്ന ജനത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ എത്തി അവരെ വാളിന്റെ വായ്ത്തലയാൽ വെട്ടി, പട്ടണം തീവെച്ചു ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു.
