അനന്തരം ജനം യഹോവെക്കു അനിഷ്ടം തോന്നുമാറു പിറുപിറുത്തു; യഹോവ കേട്ടു അവന്റെ കോപം ജ്വലിച്ചു; യഹോവയുടെ തീ അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ കത്തി പാളയത്തിന്റെ അറ്റങ്ങളിലുള്ളവരെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
Anantaram janam yahovekku anishtam tonnumaaru pirupiruttu; yahova kettu avante kopam jvalichchu; yahovayute tee avarute itayil katti paalayattinte attangngalilullavare dahippichchukalanynyu.

- And [when] the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard [it;] and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed [them that were] in the uttermost parts of the camp.
