2യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾക്കു ഞാൻ കൊടുപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്ന കനാൻദേശം ഒറ്റുനോക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആളുകളെ അയക്ക; അതതു ഗോത്രത്തിൽനിന്നു ഓരോ ആളെ അയക്കേണം; അവരെല്ലാവരും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരായിരിക്കേണം.
3അങ്ങനെ മോശെ യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനപ്രകാരം പാരാൻമരുഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നു അവരെ അയച്ചു; ആ പുരുഷന്മാർ ഒക്കെയും യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളിൽ തലവന്മാർ ആയിരുന്നു.
