మెరారీయులలో హోసా అనువానికి కలిగిన కుమారులు ఎవరనగా జ్యేష్ఠుడగు షిమీ; వీడు జ్యేష్ఠుడు కాకపోయినను వాని తండ్రి వాని జ్యేష్ఠ భాగస్థునిగా చేసెను,
Meraareeyulalo hosaa anuvaaniki kaligina kumaarulu evaranagaa jyeshthudagu shimee; veedu jyeshthudu kaakapoyinanu vaani tandri vaani jyeshtha bhaagasthunigaa chesenu,

- 12ఈలాగున ఏర్పాటైన తరగతులనుబట్టి యెహోవా మందిరములో వంతుల ప్రకారముగా తమసహోదరులు చేయునట్లు సేవచేయుటకు ఈ ద్వారపాలకులు, అనగా వారిలోని పెద్దలు జవాబుదారులుగా నియ మింపబడిరి.
