యూదాదేశమందు సొలొమోను కుమారుడైన రెహ బాము ఏలుచుండెను. రెహబాము నలువదియొక సంవత్సర ములవాడైనప్పుడు ఏలనారంభించెను. తన నామము నుంచుటకై ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్రములన్నిటిలోనుండి యెహోవా కోరుకొనిన యెరూషలేమను పట్టణమందు అతడు పదునేడు సంవత్సరములు ఏలెను; అతని తల్లి అమ్మోనీయురాలు, ఆమె పేరు నయమా.

Rehoboam [was] forty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD did choose out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. And his mother’s name [was] Naamah an Ammonitess.

23ఎట్లనగా వారును ఎత్తయిన ప్రతి పర్వతము మీదను పచ్చని ప్రతి వృక్షముక్రిందను బలిపీఠములను కట్టి, విగ్రహములను నిలిపి, దేవతాస్తంభములను ఉంచిరి.
