4. 34పమ్మట ఒకడు తన విల్లు తీసి గురి చూడకయే విడువగా అది ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజుకు కవచపుకీలు మధ్యను తగిలెను గనుక అతడునాకు గాయమైనది, రథము త్రిప్పి సైన్యములో నుండి నన్ను అవతలకు తీసికొని పొమ్మని తన సారధితో చెప్పెను.
5. 35నాడు యుద్ధము బలముగా జరుగుచున్నప్పుడు రాజును సిరియనుల యెదుట అతని రథముమీద నిలువ బెట్టిరి; అస్తమయమందు అతడు మరణమాయెను; తగిలిన గాయములోనుండి అతని రక్తము కారి రథములో మడుగు గట్టెను.
