King James Version (KJV): And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all [thy] children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.
World English Bible (WEB): Samuel said to Jesse, “Are all your children here?” He said, “There remains yet the youngest. Behold, he is keeping the sheep.” Samuel said to Jesse, “Send and get him, for we will not sit down until he comes here.”

12అతడు వాని పిలువనంపించి లోపలికి తోడుకొనివచ్చెను. అతడు ఎఱ్ఱనివాడును చక్కని నేత్రములు గలవాడును చూచుటకు సుందరమైనవాడునై యుండెను. అతడు రాగానేనేను కోరుకొన్నవాడు ఇతడే, నీవు లేచి వానిని అభిషేకించుమని యెహోవా సెలవియ్యగా
13సమూయేలు తైలపు కొమ్మును తీసి వాని సహోదరుల యెదుట వానికి అభిషేకము చేసెను. నాటనుండి యెహోవా ఆత్మ దావీదుమీదికి బలముగా వచ్చెను. తరువాత సమూ యేలు లేచి రామాకు వెళ్లిపోయెను.
