4యోనాతాను తన తండ్రియైన సౌలుతో దావీదును గూర్చి దయగా మాటలాడినీ సేవకుడైన దావీదు నీ విషయములో ఏ తప్పిదమును చేసినవాడు కాక బహు మేలుచేసెను గనుక, రాజా నీవు అతని విషయములో ఏ పాపము చేయకుందువుగాక.
5అతడు ప్రాణమునకు తెగించి ఆ ఫిలిష్తీయుని చంపగా యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీ యుల కందరికి గొప్ప రక్షణ కలుగజేసెను; అది నీవే చూచి సంతోషించితివి గదా; నిష్కారణముగా దావీదును చంపి నిరపరాధియొక్క ప్రాణము తీసి నీవెందుకు పాపము చేయుదువని మనవి చేయగా
