నేను చనిపోయినయెడల యెహోవా దావీదు శత్రువులను ఒకడైన భూమిమీద నిలువకుండ నిర్మూలము చేసిన తరువాత నీవు నా సంతతివారికి దయ చూపక పోయిన యెడలనేమి యెహోవా నిన్ను విసర్జించును గాక.

- 16ఈలాగున యెహోవా దావీదుయొక్క శత్రువుల చేత దాని విచారించునట్లుగా యోనాతాను దావీదు సంతతివారిని బట్టి నిబంధన చేసెను.
- 17యోనాతాను దావీదును తన ప్రాణస్నేహితునిగా ప్రేమించెను గనుక ఆ ప్రేమనుబట్టి దావీదుచేత మరల ప్రమాణము చేయించెను.
