అయ్యయ్యో మహాశూరు డగు ఈ దేవుని చేతిలోనుండి మనలను ఎవరు విడిపింప గలరు? అరణ్యమందు అనేకమైన తెగుళ్లచేత ఐగుప్తీయులను హతము చేసిన దేవుడు ఈయనే గదా.
Ayyayyo mahaashooru dagu ee devuni chetilonundi manalanu evaru vidipimpa galaru? Aranyamandu anekamaina tegullacheta aigupteeyulanu hatamu chesina devudu eeyane gadaa.

- 9ఫిలిష్తీయు లారా, ధైర్యము తెచ్చుకొని వారు మీకు దాసులైనట్టు మీరు హెబ్రీయులకు దాసులు కాకుండ బలాఢ్యులై యుద్ధము చేయుడని చెప్పుకొనిరి.
- 10ఫిలిష్తీయులు యుద్దముచేయగా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు ఓడిపోయి అందరు తమ డేరాలకు పరుగెత్తివచ్చిరి. అప్పుడు అత్యధికమైన వధ జరిగెను; ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో ముప్పదివేల కాల్బలము కూలెను.
