5. 25వారు యోవాషును విడచిపోయినప్పుడు అతడు మిక్కిలి రోగియై యుండెను. అప్పుడు యాజకుడైన యెహోయాదా కుమారుల ప్రాణహత్యదోషము నిమిత్తము అతని సేవకులు అతనిమీద కుట్రచేసి, అతడు పడకమీద ఉండగా అతని చంపిరి. అతడు చనిపోయిన తరు వాత జనులు దావీదు పట్టణమందు అతని పాతి పెట్టిరి గాని రాజుల సమాధులలో అతని పాతిపెట్టలేదు.
