అమజ్యా దైవజనుని చూచిఇశ్రాయేలువారి సైన్యమునకు నేనిచ్చిన రెండువందల మణుగుల వెండికి ఏమి చేసెదమని అడిగి నందుకుదీనికంటె మరి యధికముగా యెహోవా నీకు ఇయ్యగలడని ఆ దైవజనుడు ప్రత్యుత్తరమిచ్చెను.

- 10అప్పుడు అమజ్యా ఎఫ్రాయిములోనుండి తనయొద్దకు వచ్చిన సైన్యమును వేరుపరచిమీ యిండ్లకు తిరిగి వెళ్లుడని వారికి సెలవిచ్చెను; అందుకు వారి కోపము యూదా వారి మీద బహుగా రగులుకొనెను, వారు ఉగ్రులై తమ యిండ్లకు తిరిగి పోయిరి.
- 11అంతట అమజ్యా ధైర్యము తెచ్చుకొని తన జనులతో కూడ బయలుదేరి ఉప్పుపల్లపు స్థలమునకు పోయి శేయీరువారిలో పదివేలమందిని హతము చేసెను.
