He wrote also letters to rail on the LORD God of Israel, and to speak against him, saying, As the gods of the nations of [other] lands have not delivered their people out of mine hand, so shall not the God of Hezekiah deliver his people out of mine hand.

3. 17అదియుగాక ఇతర దేశముల జనుల దేవతలు తమ జనులను నా చేతిలోనుండి యేలాగున విడిపింపలేకపోయిరో ఆలాగున హిజ్కియా సేవించు దేవుడును తన జనులను నా చేతిలోనుండి విడిపింప లేకపోవునని ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడైన యెహోవాను నిందించుటకును, ఆయనమీద అపవాదములు పలుకుటకును అతడు పత్రికలు వ్రాసి పంపెను.
4. 18అప్పుడు వారు పట్టణమును పట్టుకొనవలెనన్న యోచనతో, ప్రాకారము మీదనున్న యెరూషలేము కాపురస్థులను బెదరించుటకును నొప్పించుటకును, యూదాభాషలో బిగ్గరగా వారితో ఆ మాటలు పలికిరి.
5. 19మరియు వారు మనుష్యుల చేతిపనియైన భూజనుల దేవతలమీద తాము పలికిన దూషణలను యెరూషలేముయొక్క దేవునిమీద కూడను పలికిరి.
