ప్రవక్త యగు సమూయేలు దినములు మొదలుకొని ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులలో పస్కాపండుగ అంత ఘనముగా ఆచరింపబడి యుండలేదు. యోషీయాయు, యాజకులును, లేవీయు లును, అక్కడ నున్న యూదా ఇశ్రాయేలువారందరును, యెరూషలేము కాపురస్థులును ఆచరించిన ప్రకారము ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజులందరిలో ఒక్కడైనను పస్కాపండు గను ఆచరించి యుండలేదు.

- 20ఇదంతయు అయిన తరువాత యోషీయా మందిర మును సిద్ధపరచినప్పుడు ఐగుప్తురాజైన నెకో యూఫ్రటీసు నదియొద్దనున్న కర్కెమీషుమీదికి దండెత్తి వెళ్లుచుండగా యోషీయా అతనిమీదికి బయలు దేరెను.
