- 20ఇదంతయు అయిన తరువాత యోషీయా మందిర మును సిద్ధపరచినప్పుడు ఐగుప్తురాజైన నెకో యూఫ్రటీసు నదియొద్దనున్న కర్కెమీషుమీదికి దండెత్తి వెళ్లుచుండగా యోషీయా అతనిమీదికి బయలు దేరెను.
- 21అయితే రాజైన నెకో అతనియొద్దకు రాయ బారులను పంపి - యూదారాజా నీతో నాకేమి? పూర్వమునుండి నాకు శత్రువులగువారిమీదికేగాని నేడు నీమీదికి నేను రాలేదు. దేవుడు త్వరచేయుమని నాకు ఆజ్ఞాపించెను గనుక దేవుడు నాతోకూడ ఉండి నిన్ను నశింపజేయ కుండునట్లు ఆయన జోలికి నీవు రావద్దని చెప్ప నాజ్ఞాపించెను.
