1. 14మేము క్రీస్తు సువార్త ప్రకటించుచు, మీవరకును వచ్చియుంటిమి గనుక మీయొద్దకు రానివారమైనట్టు మేము మా మేర దాటి వెళ్లుచున్న వారము కాము.
2. 15మేము మేరకు మించి యితరుల ప్రయాసఫలములలో భాగస్థులమనుకొని అతిశయ పడము. మీ విశ్వాసము అభివృద్ధియైనకొలది మాకనుగ్ర హింపబడిన మేరలకు లోపలనే సువార్త మరి విశేషముగా వ్యాపింపజేయుచు,
3. 16మీ ఆవలి ప్రదేశములలో కూడ సువార్త ప్రకటించునట్లుగా, మేము మీ మూలముగా ఘనపరచబడుదుమని నిరీక్షించుచున్నామే గాని, మరియొకని మేరలో చేరి, సిద్ధమైయున్నవి మావియైనట్టు అతిశయింపగోరము.
4. 17అతిశయించువాడు ప్రభువునందే అతిశయింపవలెను.
5. 18ప్రభువు మెచ్చుకొనువాడే యోగ్యుడు గాని తన్ను తానే మెచ్చుకొనువాడు యోగ్యుడుకాడు.
