2. 17అతడు ఒప్పవలసినంత బలవంతము చేసి వారతని బతిమాలగా అతడు పంపుడని సెలవిచ్చెను గనుక వారు ఏబదిమందిని పంపిరి. వీరు వెళ్లి మూడు దినములు అతనిని వెదకినను అతడు వారికి కనబడకపోయెను.
3. 18వారు యెరికో పట్టణమందు ఆగియున్న ఎలీషాయొద్దకు తిరిగి రాగా అతడువెళ్లవద్దని నేను మీతో చెప్పలేదా అని వారితో అనెను.
4. 19అంతట ఆ పట్టణపువారుఈ పట్టణమున్న చోటు రమ్యమైనదని మా యేలినవాడవైన నీకు కనబడుచున్నది గాని నీళ్లు మంచివి కావు. అందుచేత భూమియు నిస్సారమై యున్నదని ఎలీషాతో అనగా
5. 20అతడుక్రొత్త పాత్రలో ఉప్పువేసి నాయొద్దకు తీసికొని రండని వారితో చెప్పెను. వారు దాని తీసికొని రాగా
